Hi, Welcome! I'm Christina Marsigliese

I'm a Food Scientist (MSc.), Product Developer, former Pastry Chef, obsessive home baker, never-recovering chocoholic and writer of this here blog! I'm so glad you're here. I have always been obsessed with food, I have a big sweet tooth and my passion for baking started at a young age as I come from a large Italian family where food has always been at the center of attention. I am passionate about applying food science to test new baking recipes and techniques to create foolproof recipes for you to re-create in your home kitchens. Oh, and I LOVE CHOCOLATE. So, on this website you will find a variety of indulgent recipes that come straight from my heart and my head, as well as some with a healthy twist. My goal is to inspire you to master baking anything at home with easy, approachable and delicious recipes.

My educational background, professional experience and accomplishments include:

  • Master's degree in Food Science
  • Over 15 years experience working as a corporate Product Developer
  • Pastry chef at several of Toronto's top dining restaurants
  • Author of 3 baking cookbooks

All things DELICIOUS, and a lot of chocolate! Most of the recipes I create are geared towards both novel and novice bakers. I develop recipes that are simple and straight-forward with expert science-based techniques built in to guarantee success. There are also more skilled recipes for those who want to try something a bit more challenging. If you're craving a decadent treat, you will certainly find what you want here! Recipe Developer

In addition to developing and testing original recipes for my cookbooks and this blog, I also develop recipes for clients using high quality products that I believe in.
